Managing Products

Add and manage the products in your online store from the WordPress admin panel.

Add a new product

  1. Log in to the admin panel
  2. In the left sidebar, click ProductsAdd New
  3. Fill in the product details:

Product name — what customers see as the title.

Description — appears below the product name on the product page. Use the editor to format text, add bullet points, etc.

Short description — a brief summary shown near the price.

Product data (in the lower section):

  • Regular price — the normal selling price
  • Sale price (optional) — discounted price; you can set start/end dates

Product image — click Set product image (right sidebar) to upload a photo. Use clear, well-lit photos. JPG or PNG, at least 800x800px.

Product gallery — add additional photos.

Categories — organize products into groups (e.g., "Shirts", "Accessories"). Create new categories in the right sidebar if needed.

  1. Click Publish when ready, or Save Draft to come back to it later.

Edit an existing product

  1. Click Products in the left sidebar
  2. Hover over the product name → click Edit
  3. Make your changes → click Update

Remove a product from the store

To temporarily hide a product without deleting it:

  1. Edit the product
  2. Change Status from Published to Draft (top right)
  3. Click Update — the product disappears from the store but stays in your admin

To permanently delete:

  1. In the Products list, hover over the product → click Trash

Digital products (downloadable files)

For digital products (PDFs, patterns, templates, etc.):

  1. Create the product as above
  2. In the Product data section, check Virtual and Downloadable
  3. Under Downloadable files, click Add file → upload your file
  4. Set a Download limit (how many times per purchase) if desired
  5. Publish the product

After payment, customers receive a download link automatically by email.
